Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Haux Studio (“Haux Studio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you visit haux.studio, send us an enquiry, or schedule a call. It does not cover a client project where a separate agreement or privacy notice applies.

By using the site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree with them, please do not submit personal information through the site.

Information you provide

• Your name, email address, phone number, and company details.
• Project information, meeting notes, messages, files, and other details you choose to share with us.
• Booking information such as your preferred time, time zone, and answers to scheduling questions.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. The site also uses session storage to remember whether you have already seen its introductory animation.

• Provide and improve the site and our studio services.

Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: your consent, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the studio, and compliance with a legal obligation.

You may withdraw consent at any time. This does not affect processing that already took place or processing supported by another lawful basis.

We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is needed with service providers that help us operate the site and the studio, including hosting, email, calendar, video-call, security, and professional service providers.

Our booking experience is provided by Cal.com. When you book a call, Cal.com processes the booking details you submit on our behalf and may connect those details to the calendar or meeting service used for the booking. You can read the Cal.com Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, in connection with a business reorganisation, or with your direction or consent.

We are based in Sri Lanka and some service providers process information in other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards for cross-border transfers and ask providers to protect information in line with applicable law.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the nature of the enquiry or client relationship, legal and accounting duties, dispute-resolution needs, and the retention schedules of our service providers. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous where reasonably possible.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also be able to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and change the date at the top. Material changes may also be communicated through an appropriate additional notice.
